Jimmy DeYoung
Jimmy DeYoung lived in Jerusalem, Israel for 12 years, where he and his wife, Judy, worked as journalists. Upon first arriving in Israel, moved by the plight of the Israeli people and by the spirit of God, Dr. DeYoung founded the Assembly at Jerusalem, a Bible-preaching church that meets in the Holy City. Jimmy is also a conference speaker and noted expert on Bible prophecy and endtimes events. His knowledge of prophecy and his proximity to the events of modern Israel make his insights especially timely and unique.
Jimmy has met and interviewed many international leaders including: Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Israeli former Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, former Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert, former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Moshe Arens, Jordan's Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher, and the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Today, Jimmy travels the world proclaiming the good news of Christ's gift of eternal life and soon-coming return for His church, using the means of media, radio, television, books, and the Internet, as well as by preaching in churches and assemblies across the globe. Jimmy is heard on radio stations around the country, and is seen regularly on the television program Day of Discovery.
Before moving to Israel, Jimmy graduated from Tennessee Temple, then worked at Word of Life Fellowship in Schroon Lake, NY. He has also been host of a daily Christian talk radio program in New York City. The DeYoungs now reside in Tennessee.
