The NBA playoffs continue and this week news was made in the coaching ranks. Long time coach, Larry Brown is back in the NBA. The former head coach of the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76’ers resigned his administrative position in Philly to take over as the head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats.
Pat Riley has resigned as the head coach of the Miami Heat—he’ll stay on as team president. Riley is one of the newest members of the Basketball Hall of Fame after having success as the head coach of the Heat, the L. A. Lakers and the New York Knicks. Overall, Riley has won 7 NBA championships, five as a head coach, one as an assistant coach and one as a player. Earlier, during the mid-1960’s he was an outstanding college player at the University of Kentucky.
On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk about the career and basketball life of Pat Riley with one of our basketball analysts, C. J. Woollum. At face value, Riley leaves an incredible legacy. But is that deceiving? We talk about it with C. J.
