SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

Baseball

Guest: Jerry Terrell
Former Major League Infielder
Twins & Royals

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

The middle of May is a good time to be talking baseball. One of the better divisions in baseball was expected to be the American League Central. On paper in pre-season both Detroit and Cleveland appeared to be playoff teams. But both teams have stumbled out of the gate.

During the off-season the Minnesota Twins lost two established stars—pitcher Johann Santana and outfielder Tory Hunter. But always surprising Twins are once again proving to be competitive. How are they doing it?

We talk about the Twins on Sports Spectrum Today in a visit with former Twins infielder, Jerry Terrell. Jerry also talks about the plight of small market cities, Minnesota and Kansas City. He’s encouraged and tells us what he’s seeing from both teams.

Jerry also comments on fighting in baseball and the issue of self-control.
