 The NBA playoffs have moved into the conference championship round. In the east, the Boston Celtics have the home court advantage against Detroit. In the west, the L. A. Lakers have the home court advantage over San Antonio. These are two outstanding match-ups.

On Sports Spectrum Today we talk about the Western Conference finals with one of our basketball analysts, C. J. Woollum. C. J. is the long time coach at Christopher Newport University in Virginia. He shares his observations on some of the unsung heroes that have helped make the Lakers season so impressive.

He also talks about the improved play of Spurs point guard Tony Parker and takes a look back at the incredible season put together by the New Orleans Hornets. There’s disappointment in New Orleans now, but the future looks bright.
