One of the most exciting events in pro sports is the Stanley Cup Finals. The Finals are underway now with the Detroit Red Wings battling the Pittsburgh Penguins. We talk about the Stanley Cup Finals with a former NHL player with Detroit, Toronto, Winnipeg and New York Rangers, Mark Osborne. Mark shares his thoughts on the finals and the top stories in the NHL.
We’ll also feature plenty of Major League Baseball on the last show in May. It’s been a disappointing start on the field for the New York Mets and manager Willie Randolph is on the hot seat. But it’s a long season and the Mets are expected to contend for the N. L. East crown. We’ll get the inside story when talk with veteran Mets outfielder, Marlon Anderson.
One of the pleasant surprise stories in baseball is the play of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays have had a great start in the powerful A. L. East. One of the newest members of the Rays is outfielder Gabe Gross. Gross was acquired earlier this month in a trade with Milwaukee. He talks about the exciting young team in Tampa and how he thinks they can contend this season.
It’s not easy for a player’s family when they need to move mid-season. Gabe shares some of the issues that players and their wives deal with.
