Major League Baseball is in the stretch run and teams are scurrying to improve their rosters. In recent days, the Boston Red Sox acquired veteran pitcher Paul Byrd from the Cleveland Indians. In Arizona the Diamondbacks acquired 2006 World Series MVP, David Eckstein to help back up Stephen Drew at shortstop.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk about September baseball with a former front office executive for the Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds, Darrell "Doc" Rodgers. Doc shares his thoughts on some of the late season transactions.

He also offers his observations on the scoring controversy involving the no hit effort attempted by Milwaukee Brewers pitcher CC Sabathia.
