Ray Melick – College Football – BCS

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

College Football

Guest: Ray Melick
Sports Columnist
Birmingham News

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

It may be college football’s biggest game of the year. It’s certainly the game that will determine one of the participants in the BCS national championship game. It is the SEC title game this weekend between Florida and Alabama.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we preview the game with a sports columnist for the Birmingham News, Ray Melick.

Ray considers both teams and tells us why he thinks Alabama could win and why he thinks Florida could win. He also talks about Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and the pressure he’s experiencing. He shares why fans and media need to leave a little room for Tebow to have a flaw or two.

There are also coaching changes at Tennessee, Clemson and Mississippi State. Ray comments on the hires as well.

It’s a mid-week college football visit with one of the top college football writers in the south, Ray Melick, on Sports Spectrum Today.
