Last week, to help ring in the New Year, the National Hockey League staged their second "Winter Classic." It was an traditional outdoor NHL game played between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.

But it wasn't just any outdoor game. This game was played at historic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. A huge event for Chicago fans played on hallowed sports ground.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk about the NHL's newest marketing initiative with our hockey aficionado, Doug Redford. Doug talks about some of the unique factors that made this event special.
